We are members of the International Association of Healing Rooms (IAHR) headquartered in Spokane, Washington; a ministry begun in 1999 by Reverend Cal Pierce.  IAHR is an association of Healing Rooms Ministries in hundreds of locations in cities and towns in 68 nations for the purpose of uniting, equipping and empowering the Body of Christ to establish healing throughout the world.  Dan and Stephanie Wallace are directors of Healing Rooms of Hopkins County. Our Healing Rooms is a ministry stewarded by Grace Fellowship Ministries.

The Healing Rooms of Hopkins County is a Christ-centered ministry of people from many different Christian backgrounds and experiences. We have come together in unity to pray for the sick with compassion and faith in Jesus Christ and His power to heal.

A three-member team of caring, trained volunteers pray with the person coming for prayer for their specific need.  The team of ordinary people will be the first to tell you they have no special powers, but they do have a heart of love and a strong faith in God.  Simply stated, they are acting as a conduit of God's love when they pray for people.  The 20-30 minute prayer sessions are held in the privacy of one of the prayer rooms.  All sessions are confidential.  No appointments are necessary.  Dress is casual.  No fees are charged.

Healing Rooms originally began in 1914, when Dr. John G. Lake taught on the subject of Divine Healing in a local church in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Lake rented a group of rooms in the Rookery Building that he converted into "Lake's Healing Rooms". He began to pray for the sick on a daily basis and so many came for prayer he had to train others to help. They were trained through "a series of lectures" on divine healing designed on faith and knowledge. They were trained daily by both teaching and hands-on practical application by using God's word. Today there are Healing Rooms around the world.

We are a ministry committed to serving the sick through the ministry of God's Healing Word, the Power of His Presence and compassionate prayer. Rush and Barbie Hunt were the founding directors of Healing Rooms of Hopkins County at Main Street Prayer Center, as well as the directors of Kentucky Healing Rooms and Regional directors of Region 10, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina of the International Association of Healing Rooms. Barbie is the founder of the international Healing Rooms Kids movement, and still active leading Healing Rooms Kids in Madisonville, Kentucky. Rush and Barbie have long been committed to prayer, teaching and calling the church to pray with power and confidence.

They were challenged to begin this ministry when Rush attended a conference led by Rev. Cal Pierce in 2009. When Rush inquired about beginning a Healing Rooms prayer ministry, Cal said to Rush, "The sick and the lost do not have a life and the problem is you do. If you will give up your life for them, there is no end to what you will see God do." Those words spoke to their hearts and soon the Healing Rooms of Hopkins County began and was the primary ministry of Main Street Prayer Center.

Cal Pierce was the founding International Director of Healing Rooms Ministries and the International Association of Healing Rooms in Spokane, Washington. He oversaw the ministry along with his wife Michelle. Cal traveled extensively worldwide speaking at conferences throughout the year, teaching on healing and casting the vision to see Healing Rooms in every city, in every nation as well as training and releasing the Body of Christ to be Kingdom people walking in power and authority with signs, wonders, and miracles following them! Michelle was an international speaker who brought forth the encouraging and enlightening Word of God in a way that opened people's hearts.

For twenty-five years Cal and Michelle attended Bethel Assembly of God Church in Redding, California where Cal served as Elder and a Board Member. When revival came in June 1996, Cal was powerfully touched. God gave him an insatiable hunger to learn about healing and past revivals.

A year later, God led them to Spokane, Washington. During a 40-day fast and much prayer, Cal heard God say to him: "There is a time to pray and a time to move." He, along with intercessors, re-dug the generational wells of healing in Spokane. On July 22nd, 1999 the Healing Rooms Ministries was opened.  In 2000 they both were ordained and today the ministry has expanded to thousands of Healing Rooms in 68 nations.  To God be the Glory!
